Transitions
A product for Hospitals and their employed physicians. Hospital systems recognize the importance of a strong, integrated, physician network. The sponsored "employed" model has often been used by hospital systems to increase the physician network, especially for primary care and some needed specialties.
Within these sponsored networks, there are individual physicians or small groups of physicians who would continue within the integrated network, but desire and are better suited to independent practice. Sponsored physicians are looking for a mechanism to gain direct responsibility for their practice.
Sponsored physicians have the capacity, when transitioned properly, to manage effectively without day to day support from the system. Hospitals, in turn are searching for an answer for the employed physician who for a variety of reasons is ready to transition to a different setting.
Management Services, using many of the same methods described within OSM SmartStart, will assist in transitioning the employed model by moving the physician to independent practice or another career opportunity of choice. A counseling and system approach, using proven techniques, will be applied to ensure the success of the transition and retaining the physician within the community.
